What is edge fusion technology?

 

When two or more projectors are combined to project a picture, a portion of the image light bulbs overlap. The main function of edge fusion is to gradually reduce the brightness of the overlapping parts of the two projectors, making the brightness of the entire picture consistent.

 

There are also many splicing methods in the market now, such as LED splicing walls, TV splicing walls, projection box splicing walls, etc. However, compared to different application places, LED splicing walls and projection box splicing walls are always composed of one picture after another, which affects the integrity of the picture to a certain extent. Edge fusion technology is a new seamless stitching technique that has emerged in recent years, which better improves the visual effect of stitching images.

 

Edge fusion projection technology has gone through three stages of development: hard edge stitching, overlapping stitching, and edge fusion stitching.

 

1. Hard edge splicing: refers to aligning the edges of two projectors without overlapping parts. In terms of display effect, the entire picture is divided by a seam. If the edge of the projector has not undergone brightness enhancement treatment, the seam will be displayed in black; If the edge of the projector is brightness enhanced, the seam will be displayed in white. combinatorial technique

 

2. Overlap and overlap: refers to the partial overlap of the images of two projectors, but without any fading in or out processing. Therefore, the brightness of the overlapping part is twice that of the rest of the entire image. In terms of display effect, the overlapping part is a bright bar fusion technology

 

3. Edge fusion splicing: Compared with simple overlapping methods, the brightness of the right overlapping part of the left projector decreases linearly, while the brightness of the left overlapping part of the right projector increases linearly. In terms of display effect, the brightness of the entire picture is completely consistent.
